We believe in our history, which is why we remain the same friendly, elegant, charming and vibrant spot on Main Street that locals and visitors have loved for over 20 years.

Our inspiration is soaked from the vibrant cultures and culinary styles of Italy, France and Spain, combined to create a unique American bistro experience. We take pride in serving locally sourced ingredients from land and sea, mixed with the finest products from around the world.

With family ties to the founders of Martha’s Vineyard and a celebrated NYC resume (think: Jean George, Spice Market, and DB Bistro) Chef-Owner Christopher Stam emanates Alchemy ideals with every creation. His seasonally evolving menus are the culmination of New England roots, island traditions, city sophistication, and a globally enriched culinary education.

We take equal pride in our extensive wine program, directed by Meaghan Robinson, who sources a diverse collection of truly special bottles, priced to reward the wine lover. Our selection has been honored with a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence since 2019. Meaghan’s passion for crafting both classic and contemporary cocktails has also earned Alchemy the distinction of “Best Cocktails on the Island”, according to Martha’s Vineyard Magazine, every year since 2014.
